An exciting opportunity is available for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join us at Ivy House!
The role will be working under the supervision of Teaching Staff providing support and help with general classroom duties.
An example of some of the classroom duties would include:
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
- Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required.
- Provide pastoral support to pupils within the school environment.
- Assist children in matters of personal needs and their general health including first aid and welfare matters.
- Provide structured support in accordance with specific work programmes designed and supervised by individual teachers.
- To contribute to raising standards by ensuring high expectations are promoted for pupils.

Salary: £6.40-£8.60 Per hour (Apprentice rate)
Working hours: 32.5 hours, 38 weeks plus 5 INSET Days
